When I first got to Narconon on November 2nd I was not only intoxicated, but I was a ghostly silhouette of myself. I had a mullet style haircut that was gross and nasty, my skin was pale white, almost transparent, and I only weighed 150 lbs. I was told I looked like a messed-up version of Forrest Gump. I could barely walk when I was in withdrawal and could barely even write because my hands were so shaky. I could barely even process basic information at the beginning of withdrawal. After doing the locationals and drills in withdrawal, I began to get my appetite back and I felt I was able to move on to the New Life Detoxification where I could socialize with other people.

Once I started the Sauna, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I learned a lot about my own body and the process of how the Sauna works. I was very intrigued by it. Every day in the sauna I would take my infinite number of vitamins and such and sweat my butt off. It didn’t bother me because I know the Sauna and my body was just doing their job ridding the toxins out of my body. While the process was sometimes painful, my body was feeling better and better each and every day. By day 24, physically, I felt like a brand-new person. I could partake in physical activities without being embarrassed of myself. My physical abilities were finally back.

I then moved onto the Objectives course. Wow! Was I in for a surprise. They really throw you into a roller coaster ride. As I moved through each objective, I realized each one of them teaches you something different. Through all my highs and lows in objectives, I learned patience, how to control my anger, control my actions, awareness, and many more much-needed abilities I need in every-day life.

Now equipped with my new and improved physical and mental state I was ready to begin Life Skills. It was tough at some points, especially going over all the times I lied, deceived, and hurt people, especially my family. I realized I had to accept the fact I did all of that and take responsibility for it to be able to fix my mistakes and regain the trust I lost with the people closest to me in my life. After everything was down on paper and I had my plan set, it felt like a lot of weight was taken off my shoulders.

“This program has completely changed me. I can speak for myself and everybody at Narconon, who has been there with me since the first day, that I have made a 180-degree transformation.”

This program has completely changed me. I can speak for myself and everybody at Narconon, who has been there with me since the first day, that I have made a 180-degree transformation. I feel completely confident going into the next chapter of my life. Today I have my color back, I’m at a good weight and my mind feels clear. I now have the physical and mental abilities to start my new life and I have Narconon Suncoast and the staff to thank for that. I am prepared for anything that comes my way and have never felt better.
