Justin Joins the Body Chat Podcast

PC

I was fortunate enough to be on Dr. Stephen Nedd’s Body Chat Podcast recently and spoke with Ron Nedd on the Narconon Program, my experience with addiction and other treatment facilities, as well as all of the great successes I have had the privilege to be a part of as a staff member at Narconon Suncoast.

In the podcast I talk a little bit about my experience with addiction and other treatment facilities. I first made the decision to seek help for my alcohol addiction in 2008, and while I am confident that had I found the Narconon program back then, rather than going through numerous 28 day programs and short detoxes, it would have saved me and my family a lot of grief and heartache as I continued to battle multiple addictions for nearly a decade, it is that experience that gives me my perspective on what effective treatment consists of and what it does not. That perspective and all that the Narconon program did for my own life is why I chose to come back and join the staff here. If coming to Narconon Suncoast to handle and end my addiction for good was the best decision I ever made, then coming back, joining staff, and getting to be a part of the successes here in others is a close second.

There is perhaps no greater joy or fulfillment in a former addict than getting to see others experience their own journey and path to a drug-free life. I can think of no other place to work as magical as what I have the privilege to be a part of everyday. Seeing people walk through our doors as addicts, often broken and beaten up by life, commit themselves to a better life, graduate our program as individuals ready to go out and prosper, having found a peace about themselves that would have felt like a distant dream when they walked through the doors, is my greatest joy today. Witnessing them with their certificates held up high at graduation, inspiring hope in those that are still finding their path and on various parts of the program, is something that all our staff take great pride in.

I have also never been part of an organization that displays the level of genuine care than the one I am a part of now. The staff I work with are truly invested in the success of our students and graduates, something I have never felt when attending other treatment facilities. One item I discuss in this podcast is our dedication to ensuring our students finish their program with the best possible chance to succeed, helping them come up with a plan that promotes success rather than set them up for failure. Our follow-ups with graduates and the level of continued care we have in their success is also something I discuss and something I had never experienced before coming to Narconon.

I hope you enjoy this podcast and if you have any questions for me please do not hesitate to contact me at our center or on our chat. From somebody who has felt the despair of numerous failed rehabilitations and the overwhelming peace and prosperity that comes from getting it right and achieving a drug-free life, we are all here to help at Narconon Suncoast.
