I Am So Happy to be Sober!

happy to be sober

Life, in general, before coming to Narconon Suncoast was going downhill in all different ways. I was out-of-control. My addiction was destructive; it destroyed myself, my body, and my family. All I could do was think of the next time I could get high. I became a stranger to my family. I became a person that didn’t care to connect with anybody because I simply didn’t care. I had no purpose in life or reason to exist. I completely lost myself and I would constantly say that I could stop whenever I wanted, but in reality, I was in so deep that I was never going to stop.

This was my first rehab and I am so grateful that I completed the program. Most importantly, I am happy to be sober. I am confident that I can have a sober life, which was something I didn’t think I could ever have. I’m also confident that I can have a life full of stability and that I can keep progressing. My sister was the one that pushed my dad to keep me from getting worse and get me into rehab. I decided to get help to better my life and so I could stop hurting my family.

The Sauna Detox really helped to clean all the drugs out of my system and helped my cravings to go away. I just felt way better physically. The Objectives Course was interesting because it helped with the mental part of my addiction and helped bring me out of the past and helped me to not stay stuck in my head and think about drugs. This course also helped me to be calmer and to find better solutions to my problems. The Life Skills Courses were one of the most rewarding parts of the program for me. They literally helped me to look at myself in a way that I never have. I was able to find what made me use drugs and why my behavior was so destructive.

My family wasn’t able to communicate with me before I came to Narconon Suncoast and now we have a great relationship. They had no idea who I was or what I did before treatment. Now, we have an open and honest relationship and I’m so happy to include them in my life. I want to be a productive and responsible person who has a stable life and stays sober. My view on life has changed so much that if anyone out there is struggling with any addiction, I want to encourage you to come to Narconon Suncoast. I completed the program and it changed my life forever. It can change yours too.
