What Sets Narconon Suncoast Apart from Other Programs

Sad addict causes family fights

I’m one of the counselors who works with the students coming through the program and I help them to get off and stay off drugs. What really sets us apart from other rehab centers and programs is that once we have the students feeling better physically and mentally, we start to dig in and find out WHY they started using drugs in the first place. We really get down to the underlying issues that they haven’t been confronting for years. Having been to other rehabs prior to Narconon, I have personal reality and experience with the difference between Narconon and other rehabs.

The other rehabs that I went to really didn’t display any sort of personal care factor. It was as if they knew that I’d be back for another round of treatment regardless of what I did. I’m a dedicated counselor who has chosen a life path to help save lives. Having contributed at two other Narconon centers, I found myself at Narconon Suncoast where I have helped rescue many lives from the scourge of drug addiction.

The “drug-free for good” slogan is something that we at Narconon pride ourselves in. Where most treatment centers have a time limit such as the 14-day programs, 28-day programs, etc. we have an open-ended program. This essentially means that there is no time limit on how long it takes for someone to complete the program. They finish when they are done and are ready to start their drug-free lives, rather than leaving based on a calendar date.

During this process, we get to the situations at the root of the students’ drug use and addiction. Once these are found, we really confront these issues and figure out workable solutions to address and prevent these from arising in the future. I have had the pleasure of working one-on-one with the students at Narconon so they can go out and conquer life rather than continue to be victims of some “ghost” that follows them around, haunting their every move. Walking on eggshells through life is no way to live.

Getting this and more from my own Narconon program has inspired me to help others achieve the same wins and gains. We can’t handle the drug problem of society overnight, but it starts with helping one person at a time, with that person then having a positive influence on the lives of the people around him. This is how we arduously work towards ending addiction.
