One Year Later—Why Narconon Saved My Life

Let me start by telling you something about my life before I went to Narconon Suncoast. I am going to be brutally honest about this, I was as close to a degenerate as one can be. I was drinking every night while staying at a sober living home and not caring at all about my future. I was in an extremely toxic relationship with an illegal immigrant and had plans to accept an illegal payment worth thousands of dollars to marry this woman so she could get her green card. My relationship with my two younger sisters and my parents was nonexistent. They had just about given up on me.
I was lost, depressed, and addicted to multiple different drugs. I was walking on thin ice, knew it but simply didn’t care. My life was a complete disaster and it was beginning to catch up with me emotionally. After coming to my senses and realized getting into an illegal marriage with a Colombian immigrant wasn’t a good idea, I lost my place to sleep at night and spent a few days living in my car. I remember receiving a call from a man at Narconon Suncoast. He introduced himself, gave me some information. I could tell he wanted to help me. My initial reaction was to blow him off, but after a few more nights of sleeping in my 2 door 2006 Honda Civic with my 60-pound Pit-Bull dog named Nala that I love dearly, I knew I needed to make a change.
I decided to take this man’s offer and reached out for help. I said goodbye to my dog and put her on a plane to go stay with my parents. It was extremely painful to do this knowing I could not continue to care for my dog; however, I knew I needed help. When I first walked through the doors of Narconon Suncoast I was extremely depressed and unsure of my future. I felt alone and like an absolute failure. I was dreading the process of another rehab. I remember crying and having multiple breakdowns during the first few days. But Angela, a staff member, was always there to comfort me and help me and did a fantastic job helping me work through the issues I was having. I also want to give a shoutout to Justin, who was my roommate during the program and now works there as a staff member, I would not have made it through this without you man. You were a crucial part of my recovery and helped me get to where I am now.
To all the incredible staff at Narconon Suncoast, I love you all and thank you.
“I’m not going to go into the details of this program except to say it not only changed my life, but it also saved my life and I will forever be grateful.”
I’m not going to go into the details of this program except to say it not only changed my life, but it also saved my life and I will forever be grateful. I strongly recommend this program for anyone that is struggling and feeling lost in life.
Looking back now at who I was before I came to Narconon, it would seem impossible to believe that one year later I would be reunited with my dog Nala, holding a great job, and enjoying a healed and healthy relationship with my family. In just one year, my life has improved to a point that at one time would have been unbelievable. Perhaps most importantly, I have remained sober and drug-free. Thank you Narconon Suncoast for giving me my life back.
