My Addiction Took Me to the Brink of Insanity

The Narconon program has helped me in many ways. My first night coming off an acid trip and near the point of freaking out and completely losing my mind, the staff made me feel as welcome and comfortable as possible, showing me great hospitality and actions that proved they really wanted to help me. They made the Withdrawal Step a lot easier for me than I expected.

The Sauna Detox gave me my energy and health back and made me realize that I was a lot sicker and unhealthy than I realized. Ridding my body of all the drug and toxin residuals stopped the majority of my drug cravings.

The Objectives helped me the most in the program. Yes, it was here I faced the most struggles and wanted to leave multiple times, but it cleared my mind the way sauna cleared my body. It brought me back to present time and refreshed me, mentally. Towards the end, I realized that for the first time since I can remember, I didn’t hate and despise everything about myself and my life. My confidence was there for the first time in my life, as well as feeling happy, genuinely, without having to paint a smile on my face in order to avoid people asking what was wrong.

Life Skills put the finishing touches on everything. Taking responsibility for what I had done during my addiction and moving on from that lifted a huge weight off my conscience. Learning how to judge characteristics of people and who will be a good influence in my life will be a key factor in my sobriety. Learning the Conditions helped me to see how I can change the direction I’m going in life in order to be more successful. This program truly saved my life and I’m forever grateful.
