Completing This Program Was the Best Decision I Have Ever Made

When I first arrived at Narconon, I had been drinking every day after many failed attempts to get sober on my own. I wasn’t communicating much with family. My relationships were rocky with no end in sight. This all changed when I came to Narconon. The withdrawal was the first part I experienced. I spent a few days trembling, but everyone here made it super comfortable. I got plenty of vitamins to replenish what my body was out of because of the booze. I felt a little better. The sauna was the next part, I was able to sweat out all the booze and toxins out of my body completely. After the sauna, my body felt super great; I was thinking clearly, and my sleep was the best it's been in a long time.
The next part of the program was objectives. Objectives forced me to confront myself and bring me into the present time. It also was a great test and practice of patience and made me realize a lot about myself and how much of a negative impact alcohol has had on my life. And at the same time brought me back to the present. I’ve come to realize that it's not my life anymore. The last part of the program was life skills, which allowed me to analyze my life on paper. I was able to identify positive and negative people in my life. I was also able to write down all of my overt transgressions so I was able to let out all of my mistakes and then let them go.
“I, for the first time in a while, feel confident in my ability to live a sober life...”
After completing the Narconon program I, for the first time in a while, feel confident in my ability to live a sober life, repair relationships, and be happy without holding onto shame and guilt. Completing this program was the best decision I have ever made.
