Indications of Alcoholism - Suncoast Rehabilitation Center

14 May 2012

Addiction to alcohol can be a mind and body destroying experience.  One common thing is that the user starts because he/she wants an easy escape from life problems.  Alcohol is used as a way to “relieve tension,” sometimes it is used as an avoidance, but at the end of the day the problems are still there.   The more alcohol is used to avoid the problems, the harder it is for the user to deal with the problem using something other than alcohol, which doesn’t resolve the problem, so more alcohol is used. It becomes a dwindling spiral of abuse.
Here are some indications of alcoholism:

  • Drinking daily
  • Drinking as stress release
  • Getting “black out drunk” as a common practice
  • Drinking to avoid thinking about past problems or upsetting situations
  • Drinking when a stressful situation occurs
  • Needing a drink to start the day

The Narconon program is specifically tailored to help the person not only get off the drug on which they are dependant, but also gives them tools to confront and resolve their own problems.  Click here to find out more Suncoast Rehab Center and how our program works.
