I Am NOT Powerless
Over My Addiction

addiction depression

One of the main parts of the Narconon program is the Objectives. Objectives are cognitive exercises that help our students get through their past traumatic, bad experiences that continue to drive their addictions. It is our core belief that in order to live a productive, prosperous life a person must stay in the present and not have their attention on the terrible things that have happened to them.

Going through addiction, addicts have some terrible memories that haunt their minds…being held at gunpoint, getting robbed, and seeing someone overdose are all things addicts find it hard to scrub from their memory. Also, a lot of addicts endure difficult life experiences long before using drugs and cause them a lot of heartache and misery. Eventually, they find drugs as a solution to their pain and agony. And that’s precisely why helping an addict move out of the past and into the present is the crux of the Narconon program.

The following are actual testimonials from some of our students once completing the Objectives:

I was more than blessed to have had such an amazing experience going through Objectives. Objectives have really opened my eyes to how important my well-being is and also how important it is to be a good person.

When I started, I did not care or love myself very much. I was stuck in my past and in the negative thoughts of my actions that had just consumed me. I no longer think badly of myself.

I actually love myself and I never, ever thought I would feel that about myself again. I can say that’s a big win. I can say that I am better able to handle other people as well as situations that I would’ve not dealt with well in the past.

My biggest win is pushing through something when I wanted to give up and run away. All my life, I have run away from problems, situations, relationships…anything when it got rough. But, I am so proud to say that is a thing I will never do again.

I am blessed to have had such an amazing opportunity and to have the strength to push through to the end.

“I no longer dwell on the past and the things I cannot control.” —V.L.

I no longer dwell on the past and the things I cannot control.

“This course has shown me many things. I came with the intentions of letting go of things that were causing trouble in areas of my life.

There were many ups and downs during this process, but I was able to stay on track.

I learned how to be aware and how to be in the moment. I was able to let go of some awful things that happened in my past.

I am a better person, as a whole, now that I have completed the Objectives. The regained ability of having control of my life is phenomenal. The feeling is so great, that I feel I can accomplish anything with the tools I have acquired.

My viewpoints on life have so much value that they will be passed down in my family. I am a better father.“ —R.C.

I am a better father.
